Tuesday Feburary 13... It was a cloudy day and rained throughout the day. I took the
metro to near Parc Guell, designed by, yes, Gaudi. It was amazing. Gaudi has a very
artistic way of looking at architecture. There are even some photos from the house
where Gaudi lived from 1906-26, check out the interesting furniture. I walked all
over the Parc and it had a pretty impressive view of Barcelona from the top.
Afterwards, I took the metro to near the Picasso Museum and had lunch at Lluna Plena.
It looked like a wine cellar, but recommended in both my Lonely Planet guide and Let's Go guide
book. They basically have a fixed menu of three things and you order off those.
It was excellent, though I had no idea what one of the items was (since they did not
have an English menu). I sat to a charming couple from Australia. They recognized me because
I had the Lonely Planet guide. They recommended going to Sevilla and Granada, the later was not
originally on my list.
After lunch, I went to the Picasso Museum, which was definitely less impressive than
the one in Paris. I met a friend, Zach Simpson, for drinks and then dinner. He took
me to a non-touristy restaurant near where he lived in Pablo Sec.
