Saturday February 24... I had lunch at the Madrid train station. The restaurant was a convenient Spanish
restaurant, sort of like a Spanish Denny's from what I could tell. I took the train to Bilbao, pretty
uneventful.
But, when I arrive in Bilbao, I arrive during the middle of Carnaval. From kids to young
adults, they were all in costumes. I really wish I took some photos, but my camera does not do well
at night. There were plenty of smurfs, devils, doctors, nurses, and four really cute Spanish women in
gangster outfits (definitely wish I had a photo of them).
I luckily found a hotel, because after I
dropped off my stuff and wandered around, I saw many people looking for hotel rooms. I don't believe
I had dinner, as I ate some snacks on the train and wasn't that hungry.
